DUBBIN, Howdy;

Looks like ya done good ! The "little no name"
may not have gathered a large number but, apparently
it does attract quality ... 8-)

Thanks for sharing..

Hank, last time on another river the no name caught a very large number of fish, but unfortunately for me, nothing large in stature. I have a sneaking suspicion that the fish that ate it yesterday were keying on the Little Winter Stones aswell. The no name was attatched as a dropper off the Stones, and I had a Baetis emerger dropped off the no name. I have seen it happen more than once. A fish miss/reject the point fly (Little Winter Stone), then take one of the droppers instead. I dont have any evidence of this being the case, just a hunch.

On a negative note, I did not have any LUCK with any of the Two Tone patterns that I worked on for the past couple weeks. I used a variety of color combinations in sizes 18 to 12. Hate to admit this Hank, but I still have more failure than success when I fish. ;) Not to say the Two Tones will not work. They just didn't perform yesterday.

DUBBIN, Howdy;

To my thinking, if ya had a good time, chuckled about something to do with
the experience or whatever, then there is NO failure... mho.
