But i kinna doubt the opprotunity will ever present itself........i guess you never know though.

Bill, my next fly pic post is especially for you..........as you remarked (in a PM i think it was) bout that one fly i posted bein' a possible Smallie killer.....or words to that effect...............i did up another along the same lines..........that came out better lookin'..........to my eye...........but, that doesn't nessessarily mean to the fishes eye. i'd really like to throw both of them, on the same (Smallie) water, and see which is more effective............just for the hell of it. i may throw this one in the Sowbug Box.....again.....just for the hell of it. Very easy fly to repeat....."REPEAT!!???" My word.....

Mark ~ That recipe sounds quite crayfish-like ... . The others posted above are all beautifully true to the genre at hand (steelhead/salmon flymphs), but the first and last ones are my favorite of the bunch. I'm thinking that this topic is a perfect vehicle for combining your considerable tying skills with your flair for creativity.

Well I am glad you finally decided you have to get this checked out. First thing in the am, call your doctor!!! IF you feel worse tonight, don't be a hard head, just go to the hospital.

Hank - Here are a couple pictures of the color wheel that I use when I need ideas for color combinations. Keep in mind that this is just a general guide. Don't limit yourself to these color combinations only. Some folks just seem to have a knack for picking color combos. I am not one of them. I cheat when needed...
The one I have is about 9 inches in diameter, with color charts on both sides.
Just out of curiosity, does anyone else use a color wheel for fly tying?

I have one of those too, somewhere. If you use a search engine, you can find a free one, if you hunt hard enough. Print it off, or save it to your favorites.
