Mark - I was going thru some of my hooks this evening and found some of the special colored ones you sent to me a while back. One of the red ones was begging to be tyed on this evening, so this is what I ended up with. I'm posting it here as a simple thank you.

I gotta remember to put this in my fly box and fish with it some day. I think a nice steelhead, hanging off the bend, would improve it's looks... :D

Beautiful job! Both of ya'll...

Mark you've really been on a roll. :D

Ray you've got some beauty swords there. I'm gonna have to dig some out and do something with them. :D And maybe some of those red hooks from Mark. Right now I've gotta finish up some Christmas shopping though. I hate the mall!!!

Wow!!! What can I say, I wasn't expecting this, you're a very generous person Mark. :D Saying 'thank you so much' just doesn't seem appropriate, so I'll just have to promise to somehow make it up to you. ;)

I just woke up and was greeted by 3X pm's which make up one substantial novella of fantastic info. :D
I'm gonna read it and re-read it til I've memorized it! I reckon I'll be an expert at putting eyes on blind eye hooks after that. Thank you for taking the time mate, I so appreciate it. :D

On a different note, I love your latest fly. That's one hell of a serious iron!!!
The hackle collar is stunning and I love the flow and blend of materials on that huge hook. Simply beautiful...

IMHO, both of the last two flies posted (Mark's and Ray's) would make fantastic tree ornaments. "Thanks" to you guys for brightening up the holiday tying scene with your creative works.

Thankx guys.....this interaction here and our mutual generosity is all i have as a Christmas celebration. Misako and i simply do not make anything at all out of Christmas and haven't for many years.........pretty much just another day. We say a prayer for peace and that's bout it. We never spend any extra $ in any kind of way because that's already been done "ENOUGH ALREADY" all throughout the year. Funny how we all set our priorities in our own unique ways. ;)
Merry Christmas to one and all..... 8-)
