Haha reminds me of a fluffy little kitten we had when I was a kid. I love the imagination, and how you took some fairly ordinary looking feathers and made them sparkle. :D

Thankx Vicki.....i REALLY wish you could see the tail correctly...........i really like how it came out..............but anyway. Here's the other wacky (or, "another"), fly i just did night before last. Again, (only this time i was at the dentist), Misa went and took the pic before i could postion the fly (& it's "parts".....the wing again, & upper tail, in this case  ), just right.......but no matter. You may notcie, i took the Bic pen (yellow in this case) to the fluff at the base of the wing feathers..... :D  .......i may still get in there with the pen and do the Rachis' of the wing feathers.......obviously i'm just goofin' with flies like this.............Alex sends me the hooks and i have to do somethin' wiff 'em. 8-) ...........it's a hell-of-a-lotta-fun, and extremely good therapy........... What else matters...........i'm sure as hell never gonna need an armord car to follow me home from selling these things. :P :P :P .....click the pix.....

OMG! That is SOOOO COOL!!! I look at this fly and cannot help smiling. :D What a fun design. This one gets a TEN POINT O, for creativity and difficulty.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question so thoroughly. Outstanding description of your technique/process! Very helpful and informative. Much appreciated.

Thankx Ray.......i found two more pics, both of which are better than either of these two..........apparently Misa sent another (email), couple much later..... oh well.............say la vee. Some flies are simply more of an "experiment" than others...........  Prolly had the hook for a year or so.......finally figured why not.................i should chop it, and redo it........but the time involved can be much better used. ;)

Wow!

That's a pretty amazing hook you're working with there! It must've been tough getting the materials to work even remotely even around the corners. Two tails and two tags who'd thunk! Definitely inventive!!!

Here's one i named (sorta) after a friend.....Rea Thopping.....only i didn't spell it the same way she spells her name. Rea is a past instructor at the Wulff School and she has her own school in Virgina.....she teachers all over and is very active in the FFF. She's been our featured special guest her at the FFF Southern Council, and she's just a really nice person.............so when i was thinking of a name, the play on words just popped into my head. 8-) i think i posted the recipe for this fly previously........... ;) click the pic

Very unusual. I think that wing is incredible. What is that? I love it.
