a hook like that deserves so much better.............but i just aint got the heart to chop it............ :(

Mark, I like the fly. Don't chop it, and it doesn't suck. I love the colors, and tropical feel of the fly. I also like that striped feather. Beautiful hook too. The fly practically glows. :D

Nope it's a consensus. NO CHOPPING ALLOWED!!!! :D

By the way, I'm almost scared to ask. What's a Canadian brown mohair? :?

the "a" should never of been there..........it's just "Canadian Brown MoHair".............Canadian Brown and Firey Brown are similar..........but Canadian Brown has more in it, and is not so bright or shinny.......ususally much more dull.
Canadian Brown is actually a lotta colors that just come out lookin' Brown when blended. ;)

I have no idea why you would be so "down" on this fly, Mark ... I really like it, even if it doesn't feel just right to you at the moment. IMHO, the contrasting shapes and color combinations are really working well here.

Glad you like it..........technically it suckx........but art does not have to be technically perfect. i'm happy with the fly to a degree............actually now that Mark got that whole damn fly vs. lure thing goin'...........both words suck when it comes to my work..........but since there's a hook involved.........

What's a better term for a hybred that covers all that follows? Stremph=streamer/flymph, or Spymph=spey/flymph?
i mean when you stop & think bout it........all Salmon flies (including Spey and Dee flies), are, is streamers (tyed for Salmon fishin'), anyway. So if you hybredize the whole lot of it........what one term "fits" best?
Seems "Stremph" really covers a whole lotta territory...........streamer, flymph, salmon fly, Spey fly...........and if the a makes an e, an E.......i'll leave it out. "Stremph"..........yeah, i likes that. Example to follow, later. ;)
