Re: Casting for Recovery
Mark that is wonderful. You all have been so gracious. Interestingly I found that if a club is going to auction off a donation they get to keep 100% of the donated money. If the item goes to national than the division of the donation $$ is something like 40/60. Interesting. So, yes, great that you are sending it to the specific clubs.
Again, thank you all for the response. This forum alone has 5 people who are donating flies, which will be especially useful in two ways. 1) we can box them and auction them or 2) I can introduce the new fly fishers to wet flies right off the get go!... I like both options.

Ariel are there any specific regulations there about the makeup of the flies. What I mean is barbless or weight added. We have some rivers here with those regs. Most of my hooks are barbed, I tie them that way and then crush them at streamside although I almost never add extra weight.

Re: Casting for Recovery
Letumgo, thanks for joining in and for helping out in the past.
As for flies, weighted, barbed, barbless...not to worry. We do regulate some waters as to barbless, but usually it's crimped down at the bank. I always fish barbless, I should say crimped down. Just the thought of you adding to the even is good enough for me.
Mark I love the idea that a tying club sit's down one night and does all that for the organization they are supporting. Kindness in ones' heart fills the heart of many.
Thanks all. we are up to 6 people from this site.

Ariel, thanks so much for including us in your particular retreat. I know many here have been participants in donating flies over the years. It's nice that you've invited us as a forum to participate. It suits this group very well. PM sent.

Yes, i think all clubs should do it because you get more accomplished that way...........more flies get tyed because members "Have" to show......... .....they get to be included in something important, worthwhile and share in the experience, and then it becomes a tradition.....win win win for everyone.

Re: Casting for Recovery
I have another request: Since we have a large amount of flies coming from this forum can you please give me a little bio of yourself so I may include it in the auction information. People will be so impressed by these flies... I know I am.
