above: response=respond.........this new editing system.........
last night at the first Bull Shoals Wolly Buggers (thass what he said he's gonna call the club, lmao), meeting.....i spent most of the time learning two things. A new knot to me......forget what he calls it, but it's very easy (and i'm terrible with knots, hate the things), and perfect for letting a streamer or other fly be able to swing in the current. It's just a knot that ends up putting your fly in a little loop, so it can wiggle. Gotta love it. :D
And then i learned a way to do weaved bodies, which is also very easy once you "get it." So i've been doing some weaved bodied flies the last couple days. ASAP i'll try and post something with a body done like that. Mine still aren't comming out as good as they will........but, (while quite time consumming), it's an awful lot of fun. So far i've been using mostly vinyle rib materials to do the bodies.....works pretty good. i doubt i'll ever get on a weaved bodies kick, but it'll be fun to show kids at shows and the like. ;)

Pink is purty, and the name is cool too.

Lovely fly Mark. That's getting awfully close to a traditional Maine streamer (metal eye and the streamer wing & cheeks). :D

Now that is simply stunning Mark! If I had to describe this fly in one word it would be "Joyous". There is a lot of love in this fly.

That "Halo Streamer" is a real testament to your tying skills, Mark; I have trouble getting just one GP crest to sit where I want it to.

GORGEOUS! and VERY creative!!! I really like the way you used the GP. I would never have thought of that...but that's what makes you, you.
