IMHO there is not a more elegant soft hacked steelhead wet fly to swing for summer steelhead than a Alec Jackson’s Spade flies !

That is the classic spade style pattern. The one I am thinking about is called a Skykomish Sunrise Spade.

Here is a brighter Ostrich Spade that I tied many years ago, probably in the 90s.
