I thought of the name for a fish following from the tail-movement with changing flashes of color and light.

First of all very cool, I think this would be a Great Lake run rainbow soft hackle here in the Great Lakes!

Mike,

This fly was scaled down from a Steelhead pattern I created years ago. Definitely a rainbow run fly, see my Electric Soft Hackle...

It’s like a comet. Very cool!

Bill,
As Ray would say....."This fly has pizzazz!" This is a killer pattern!
Great work friend!
Doug in the Den!

It reminds me of the Skykomish Sunrise , a classic steelhead pattern.
Well done.

Ray,

If a Green Butt Skunk was not working, a Comet was one of my go to flies for Steelhead on the Grande Ronde. ;)

Lou,

Skykomish Sunrises were also there in my boxes. I also had a fondness for Alec Jackson's Spades. 8-)

It's a Parmachene Belle tied by RuPaul!

...maybe an overly effervescent Tequila Sunrise?

Absolutely gorgeous.
