Those. Are. In. Credible.
So buggy but so simple, the colors work together for an overall tone that's also very buggy...these are just stellar.

Norm, I agree with T12. Just stunning work. Do you use anything under the biots to keep them in place when fishing them?

Re: Biot Soft Hackles
With biots, peacock herl, ostrich...anything like that I put a drop of gel super glue over my thread base and wrap it trough the glue. Builds a stronger fly plus if you fumble and drop it, it won't come unwound on you
Re: Biot Soft Hackles
I'm always amazed when I look at a fly that Norm tied, and I see things that I should have seen all along. Using biot bodies on my soft hackles, why haven't I been using those?
As always, Norm's sense of proportion is spot-on. Great stuff, Norm.

Norm,
These patterns are wonderful! I cannot get over how buggy they are!! It is a combination of well chosen body materials (biots), beautifully speckled partridge hackles, and impeccable tying skills! Wow! I wanna be one of your students!

Fish when you can, not when you should! Anything short of this is just a disaster.
