A Red Fox Trout Spey fly tied on an older Mustad hook
Using Fox body hair not Squirrel, I tend to also tie these small/light for the hook used with the tail extending just past the hook bend much like a low water salmon or steelhead fly

Mustad 3658 B #10
Tail: Red Fox
Body: Mink underfur dubbing
Thorax: Peacock herl
Ribbing: Fine copper tinsel
Hackle: 2 turns Red Fox fur tips in composite loop with Mink underfur dubbing

Be well,
Bob

That's just downright sexy. Wonderful dressing, Bob.

Agreed. Very seductive pattern. I love the color combination and the style elements.

Downright stunning!

PS - Copper is the perfect color choice, imo.

Bob,
In total agreement with everyone above! I like the body construction and the way you explained it! (small fly on a bigger hook - relatively speaking!). That is super! The pattern appears (due to your excellent tying) classical as if it were jumping off the pages of some ancient manuscript!
