I wasn’t sure and debated whether I should post anything made of newer materials or different takes (perspectives) of wet/soft hackle flies.
I’m new here and don’t want to upset or offend anyone by posting anything that is seen to be outside the intent/vein of the forum.

Thanks again,
Bob
Hey, Bob, I think you'll find that folks around here like our silks, waxes and natural materials and soft feathers, but are wide open as to accepting new materials as well. Maybe you could tell that from the responses to your fly. You've posted a couple that I already let you know that I'm am copying for my own use. Add this to the bunch.

Peacock and root beer! I love it!! Great idea using a bright color fir the head. You're doing just fine with your tying and don't give it a second thought about newer materials. Go right ahead and use them and then post it up for us to see.

Fly tying is only limited to your imagination.

I'm with Kilts... Like the root beer and peacock combo. Small fly-larger hook is never a bad idea as well.
Really like to see more of your trout spey flies.

PS are you still in Oregon? There's a couple more of us in the Forum that are here. Variant, Roadkill, and I get together from time to time...

Nicely done; I really like this tie. Ray's right, it's got UC Steve in mind.

Bob,
Yeow! This pattern is gorgeous! You have a solid future on this forum! We ask that you keep creating and posting as often as you can!

Although I'm no longer in Washington, I'm still a trout spey guy. I'd love to see some more of your stuff in that vein as well.
