My mind did a back flip when I read the hook is size 20. :o Remarkably well proportioned for such a small fly.

Well done Norman. ;)

I was thinking "Man, that's a big hook for a blue wing." Then I read the size 20. Holy Moley, Norm!! That is some spectacular tying, even on an 18. Everything so perfect in such a small fly. Kudos, my friend.

Norm takes an 200R in #18, and makes it look like Michelangelo hisself tied the damn thing. God, I hate that hook...

This is where I do the Wayne and Garth, "We're not worthy!" bow-down. Spectacular tying, Norm. Your proportions are ridiculous.

I didn't realize it was a 20. Wow!

I had read about this fly in Geirach's book. Never saw one until now.

I had a few encounters with Roy Palm. He had a a few good patterns. This one in its many variations was one of them.

I use to have good luck with a tail less version of this pattern.
