The North Country Fly, taken from 'Thackray's Wharfedale List'.

Stunning fly.
Did you tie the two colors of silk at the same time or is one more like a ribbing? Hard for me to tell with the dubbing covering it. But it looks great.

I first twisted the dubbing in between the silks and then wrapped forward but I didn't like the effect. Next, I wrapped the 2 at the same time like Bob Smith demonstrates in the YouTube below the fly. I just didn't leave the spacing he used.

I like that one, Bill. To me, it looks kikebit wiukd be very successful the entire caddis and stonefly season.
I could, and would fish it with total confidence.

The more I have been playing with Orange, the more I have been impressed with it. I do not have the materials for this amazing pattern you have, but I can get close. I plan soon.
