It is a unique name for sure. If I remember correctly it has to do something about the French trappers hiding their gun powder along the river. I don't recall the reason for hiding it and no one has ever found it. Just a legend? Possibly. But legends are usually based on true events and facts.

dark moose mane would work just fine
