"Almost" All North Country Flies

Post by paparex » Wed Mar 30, 2022 12:13 pm

I know there is/has been some discord about certain opinions regarding the history and mechanics of fly tying and fly tyers of North Country Flies. Tyers on both side of the Atlantic often have opposing thoughts and styles to express those views. I take no sides of the discussion. And I am not wishing to stir anything up. I am friends with both Chris Rock and Will Smith.

What I wished to do was to provide a link to Rob Denson's photography of Robert L. Smith's renditions of a set of soft hackle flies. https://www.robdenson.co.uk/almost-the- ... ountry-fly. Photography like this is art I can understand.

Enjoy!

It made me smile to see he has his Soft Hackles/Crunchers listed as nymphs.

I know another guy that does that.
