OH YEAH!!!!! ;) .....on folding.....sometimes i fold before i tye in, sometimes after, sometimes both. i fold down, Ken Sawada folds up.....undoubtedly it makes no difference as long as you get the job done, and done right. i hold the tip in my right hand and fold with the left.....again it makes no difference i'm sure. Got any thoughts on the matter?

Actually, the lyrics to the old Kenny Rodgers song just popped into my head ("you got to know when to fold 'em").

That would be a good fly for the summer Skamania Steelhead run in the N.Y state Salmon river.

Hmmm. I did not know that there was a summer steelhead run in New York. Man it would be great to catch a steelhead while wet wading. I usually have multiple layers of fleece, hat, glove etc. on when fishing for them.

Yup! there is some late run or drop back Steelies in the early spring and a steady trickle of them til July/ Early August when the fresh Skamania come in.

Ray what size is this fly tied on? also do you need both sides of peacock sword to tie that other pattern you tied a while back i love this pattern as well as that peacock sword pattern and the candy apple patterns they will alll interest the Steelhead and regular trout alike.
