Golden Burlap Nymph

Hook - Mustad R74-9672 - size 6-8 (or equivalent)
Weight - Lead/lead free wire
Thread - Tan
Tail - Pheasant tail fibers
Body - Burlap twisted in a rope for segmentation, top of body colored with brown marker
Wing case - Turkey tail fibers
Thorax - Burlap 
Hackle - Brown hen hackle

Tying Flies with Jack Dennis and Friends
Flytiers sure have a way at making things difficult

I just ran across the burlap I used to use to tie this fly the other day. Thanks for the memory jog, Norm. Superbly dressed as always. Very effective fly.

Thanks for the pattern I will have to tie some up! It isn't in either of Jack's Western Trout Fly Tying Manuals.

I have used this simple Burlap Fore and Aft for golden stones ...
