Thankx Ray.....that's what it's all about.......what we were put here for. When your at the vise.....it should be like that line in "the Book".....and everything flows into one.....it's the same on the bandstand.....it's all about "One." ;)

anybody wanna see pics of our tyin' room such as it was bout a year and a half ago or more, (it's evolved a LOT since those pics were taken/posted), can get to the slide show by goin' here. http://www.pureartflytying.ning.com/profile/misako When you get to my wife's page at my site.....scroll down to bout the middle of her page, "Quickly" so as not to miss the first pic or two.....if you do miss a couple, not to worry. The slide show will come back around and begin again. IF, you happen to notice that the show seems to have paused (anytime before you'vee seen a couple hundred pics, :D ), just put the cursor over the bottom of the frame and click on the advance arrows.....occassionally it may stick or pause for whatever the **** reason. The first few pics are of my wife's artwork.....then the tyin' room pics begin. Tonight i took a few hundred new pics of the room, the way it is now..........on a whole other level........but it'll be a while before i can get those up on the site....."all good things." ;)

I just got done watching the slideshow Mark. That's not just a tying room, it's a library, fly shop, video store, museum, and a fine hat collection! :D Looks like heaven. :D

Glad you like it.....it IS heaven, for me.....and boy you outta see it nowdays......... :D i finally have a decent music set-up.....with TONS of cassettes and CD's.....it's taken me 3 and a half yrs. to get it where it is.....and now, all together, we can seat bout 50 folks downstairs very comfortably. i had to take two tyin' rooms worth of "Stuff" outta our place in N.Y., and get it all into that one space.....and actually i wasn't able to fully accomplish that. The room outside of the room you were lookin' at, has seating for over two dozen, and it's the real fly shop. Out there are three big fly bins i got from fly shops goin' outta business. They're full of commerical flies that myself and others (friends) tyed, which are for sale.....most are a buck apiece. Then there are LOTS of other flies on display out in that room as well......many many that allllllll different people tyed and gave me, and LOTS of my artistics. And that room is way seriously collaged as well.....very intense. All Misako's tackle is out there as well.....she has her own space for tackle and waders, boots, nets, gear in general, terminal tackle, etc., etc., etc.....i just keep all my fishin' junk cept for rods, in our old beat up 1994 Surburban fishin' truck. It has a rack in it that holds 7 rods at a time, fully set-up.
Misako's tyin' desk in the main tyin' room is the one in the nearest left corner, directly across from you when you come in the room. The one to the farthest left of the three linned up end to end. The one in the middle is where i do Trout flies and the like.....Panfish, etc.....and the one furthest to the right is where i do the aritstics, Salmon, Steelhead, Pike, and saltwater flies.
Btw, the coolest thing bout the hat collection is alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the pins on the hats. There's bout 150 hats.....and they prolly average a dozen pins each or whatever it is. Really fun collection to check out.....You, gotta do it sometime. ;)

This was an experiement....... .....show me one that wasn't........rotf........i'm refering to the feather body sections.....
i was workin' on tryin' to do feather bodies.....didn't exactly come out the way i would of hoped completely.....but not to bad. Obviously i need to do a lot more practicing..... ;) Don't ask what feathers those are.....did this fly well over two years ago and can not remember..... :?: That bead (serving as a tag), came from Ronn Lucas Sr. :)

posted a lousey pic of this fly before.....my wife found a better one taken at a show in Canada back in April. ;) .....the wing is a bit gigantic  for a hook this size (Lucas 5/0).....but i actually don't mind that in this case.....somehow, to me anyway.....it still seems balanced.....go figure. :D You can at least see the CDC cheek in this pic. :P The trailer hook is a Gamakatsu and pretty much just a gooff for the fun of it. i screwed up and forgot to use green wire which i would normally do when usin' a green trailor hook.....specially with a green main hook. Oh well.....

This is a Pike fly actually.....i tyed it up in Canada, and i'm pretty sure i gave it away.....or swaped it. It's on an Owner hook, with a HOT Pink Gamakatsu Octapus trailor hook straped on there as well. ;)
