Nice bug Ray and I think the fish would find Alan’s fly quite tasty.
Re: Lime Green Rockworm
It's strange, but it works.

Great pattern Ray!
I happen to tie some the other night; however I will be posting mine under the more appropriate nymph subcategory
Also, do you weight yours? I have found this pattern to be most effective when it’s right on the bottom.

Mine pattern is not weighted, but I will be tying some weighted, based on everyone’s feedback.

Ray, the hackle work on the fly is amazing. I can't tell if you tied it off behind the eye if the hook or near the thorax area.

Re: Lime Green Rockworm
The hackle is tyed in by the stem, right behind the eye of the hook. The tying thread hangs at the back of the thorax, after the herl is wrapped. I then wrap the hackle back over the thorax, in open spiral turns. The tying thread is wound forward thru the hackle fibers, reinforcing both the herl and hackle. Very easy way to make very durable fishing flies.

Ray, your a bad influence. My wife says I can't play with you any more. Just kidding. Our order (notice the "our") from Fly Tying Yarns arrived yesterday, including some of that delicious Lime Green. Green Rock Worms will soon be taking a spot in our boxes.
