Re: Valsesiana
Lovely dressings, Alan. Two question, Did you tie them in hand? and What did you use for silk? I ordered some Bozzolo Seta Reale from Hamels Fabrics in BC. Took over two months to get it here, but it's really nice silk. I ordered colors similar to Pearsall's colors. Next time, once the eye thing is sorted out, I'll order varied colors. I added the quarter for size comparison only.

No I did not tie them in hand. I once tied a Rangeley streamer in hand and that was unique.Ron Eagle Elk wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 8:11 am Lovely dressings, Alan. The silk is YLI.
I"m glad I found someone who actually bought Italian silk. I here it is three strand so it can be used for different thickness for bodies. The colors look very sharp, and I hope you post a few flies tied with it. Let us know.

Nice ties Alan. As usual. Spring is casting her glances at us up here in the northeast.

Lovely wee wets. I am especially drawn to the dark one on the left. If I find time tomorrow I would like to give theses try.

Ok. I've got to ask. What is the purpose of the helicopter cast? (Other than to get to the other side.)BrkTrt wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 7:32 am Here is another link that you may find interesting.

Bob, I've used it when I have limited back cast room when using a standard 9 foot rod. I'll be trying it out when my new Tenkara rod arrives.
