Red Headed Yellow Kebari
Out of boredom, I've been playing games on my phone using my left eye, the one that's lazy. I found that if my right eye is covered or closed, my left stops being lazy and I can see pretty well. I still get vertigo and nausea when using it, but only when I'm moving, walking, riding in the car. I don't move much when tying.
I gave this a shot. A Red Headed Yellow Kebari.
Hook is a blind eye Owner GH in size 7, about a size 10 hook gape. Yes, it is a blue course fish hook.
The Hook Eye is #2 silk beading cord from Griffin Company in Germany in red. Available from a nice shop in New Hampshire.
The head and front of the fly is Pearsall's Gossamer, also in red. Matches the eye very well.
Hackle is Partridge dyed fiery brown.
Thorax is peacock herl.
Abdomen is Yellow Pearsall's Gossamer.
I'm showing two pics of the fly, not because it's particularly well done, but for clarity on the silk eye. My wife says it's not too bad for a blind guy.

Looking (seeing) good! I make the cord for those hooks. I’ll send you some, if you like.

Bill, I should have known you would be the one to make persimmon stiffened silk cord. I would love to try some of your cord. There is a PM on the way.wsbailey wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 8:22 pm Looking (seeing) good! I make the cord for those hooks. I’ll send you some, if you like.

I thought about using a bit of your liquid wax to stiffen the beading cord, bit thought it might alter the color too much.
Thanks for the kind words. Now that the fly is up on a large computer screen, I can see all the errors.
"Cyclops", gotta love this crew.

True love.
Beautiful fly Ron. I got a big smile on my face when I saw your post, and had a good laugh when I read Vicky’s comment.
