DUBBN, I am speechless.
Is it possible for someone to actually fall in love with a fly? I am drooling over that one.

Re: Golden Stones.....Again
Thank you Fishnkilts.
With Spring-runoff starting in about 7 weeks, it is time for me to stock up on a few large Stone nymphs.
I never seem to use the same Golden Stone imitation from one year to the next. I keep trying to find a pattern the trout won't take in high dirty water.
My staples for that time of year are a 20 inch Stone Nymph (which this Golden Nymph is based on), a Montana Prince, and Wild Bill Stone Nymph (which the soft hackle pictured is based on).
They all produce for me during the high flows.
The Wild Bill Stone is a variation on a pattern that Bill Shuck (tie2fish) either posted here on this forum or showed me in correspondence. I can not remember. I do know it has been a staple for me in a multitude of colors for what seems like a decade.

I’ve caught some BIG fish on that fly. Bill’s stonefly pattern is one of my favorites. You do such a nice job on these...
