I was introduced to Glossosoma by Rick Hafele while working as a volunteer with Biomonitoring in the 90's. He noted that we have 20 species in the NW in the Guide to Pacific Northwest Aquatic Invertebrates compiled by Rick Hafele and Steve Hinton and put together by the Oregon DEQ and Oregon Trout.... They are a very sensitive indicator species for Water Quality.
