NightWatchman - I believe this is the OPST dubbing tool John mentioned above. I got interested in Intruder patterns last year, and started using the OPST tool. It is nice and heavy, and quickly spins up a nice tight dubbing loop. It fits nicely in your hand, while wrapping the loop forward over the body of a fly.

I have moved on to very large variant dry flies now. That is why I could never be a commercial tier, I cannot stay focused too long on any one pattern. Of course, it might have to do with the whiskey too,
