Split Thread Olive

Post by DUBBN » Wed Nov 25, 2020 3:35 pm

Size 12 Mustad 3906B
Thread, Veevus 16/0, A18 , Light Olive
Rib, Purple Glamour Madera
Tail, CDL
Collar , Olive Pine Squirrel in a split thread. Most of the underfur is removed. What is left makes a neat little thorax.

I nymph with this type of pattern year round. It is generic as all get out but they work. With and without beads. Another attractor pattern.

Don't fear the split thread. It holds material like a vise. Even with a miniscule thread like 16/0.

The purple rib works amazingly well with the olive body.

Handsome pattern Wayne. ;)

Wayne,
I agree with Ray! The purple/bluish rib really sets this pattern off! The pine squirrel hackle collar is amazing! You really have a talent with this!
Keep it going friend!
