what the heck does a magpie tail sell for? Just wondering as I have a dead magpie sitting (actually laying) in my one freezer. And.... we have a lot of magpies about 5 minutes south of me.
American Magpies are illegal to kill or possess in the US.
unless they are in the act of crop depredation or harassment of domestic animals. Falls under the same classification of crows, but with no defined season on them.
We have a lot of gang affiliated magpies out here.

News to me. Crows are hunted in many states under the federal migratory hunting regs. Magpies are not. I was unaware of ANY state that superseded the federal migratory bird act. Magpies are listed as a songbird under the law.... at least that is what federal and state wardens have told me

It was my favorite show in 1956. A nearby mom & pop store advertised that Heckel and Jeckel were coming to the store. It was huge disappointment to me to find it was actual birds and not the cartoon characters. I was seven.

It was about the same time another kid told me Santa Claus didn’t exist. On Christmas Eve I pretended to be asleep when my parents checked on me. The truth was soon revealed. Many years later I found out about magic mushroom Santa.
