Merry Christmas everybody. I hope you all have a happy and healthy New Year with plenty of tight lines.
I couldn’t resist time at the Vice yesterday. Here is the Christmas Spider.

A delightful little fly, and highly effective no doubt.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Is that a Hopper pattern in the background? I love fishing hoppers/terrestrials during the summer. Love to hear them splat on the water, and watch the ripples emanating outwards. Anticipation building every second... SPLASH! FISH ON!!! :D

Thanks for the daydream. ;) :D

Hi Ray
It is a hopper pattern in the back ground but it is not my tying. It is one of the images on the cover of ‘The Flytying Artist’ by Rick Takahashi. One of the many books I have.

Lovely wee fly, David. Truly done in the Christmas Spirit.

Thanks David. I don’t have that book yet. I have two of his other books (“Modern Midges” & “Modern Terrestrials “). Your book looks like one I will enjoy.
