Metz Hen Capes

Re: Metz Hen Capes
Jim most definitely gets “pick of the litter“ from the big time growers.. I have recently purchased two honey dun hen capes from him, and one of the speckled blue dun roosters from him. The most recent is a natural Metz blue dun with true honey overtones. It’s a real rarity, only the second or third one I’ve seen in 40 years.

I want one pretty darn bad.
If I keep looking, I will end up buying one.
I have never had a bad experience with any of Jim's products!

I also picked up a speckled blue dun rooster cape, and a Cree cape and a honey dun cape . The quality and colors are outstanding.Theroe wrote: ↑Fri Dec 11, 2020 7:05 am Jim most definitely gets “pick of the litter“ from the big time growers.. Jim is packing up my Metz Hen necks for shipment. He does seem to get the "pick of the litter" when it comes to hackle. I also trust his judgement when it comes to feathers.

They were all Metz products, the blue dun variant and the Cree are rooster capes and the honey dun is a hen cape.

John, You're not helping here.
I'm trying to finish up my Christmas shopping and shopping for me is not
what I should be focusing on.

Not a hen, but a recent acquisition from Jim. This is a dark blue dun with a few bonus honey feathers in size 10 and 12, and lots of size 16-20. The very small ones up near the head are perfect for small bivisible‘s.

And here’s one I bought in 1994.
Incidentally, both are Metz.

Re: Metz Hen Capes
John - Thank's for posting the link. I now know what I want for Christmas! My lack of impulse control kicked in this morning and I've sent off an order. Looking forward to playing around with my new toys when they arrive. I have never seen a flecked blue dun skin for sale before, so could not resist this chance.
Dana - Those are really nice looking skins. (drool)
