Starling & Moose
3-4 wraps of starling, three strands of moose mane (white, black, dark brown), size 16 Limerick. Small dab of super glue was applied to thread base to help the moose mane stay put. Very midgey.

Your on a roll. Those are nice looking bugs that will fish well. Time to break out the magnifiers and tie a few of those.

Very nice – what hook are you using?
It looks like one of the Varivas models that’s no longer made.....

Thanks! Hook is from an eBay seller. I can message you the info if you want.

Beauties... those guys will definitely hunt in my neck of the woods. Had a very successful day fishing a similar pattern yesterday on the Crooked. Haven't used moose mane for bodies in a bit. Will crank some out today.
