Ken, it just Black Superhair ribbed over Olive thread. Then a thin coat of UV resin (Loon Flow)

I had to take the Soft Hackles off today. The Whitefish would not leave them alone. I started out with the little pattern on this thread. Cast after cast resulted in little to medium sized Whitefish. Any Soft Hackle worked.
I switched to Big Stone Nymphs and Caddis larva. Whitey still hit them but not as fast, and that gave me a chance to hook a couple Browns.
The State Fish and Game asked for a voluntary stop fishing by 2:00 PM on the White River of Colorado, due to warm water temps. I stopped by 11:00 AM. Walking back to the truck I noticed trout chasing Caddis to the surface. I was tempted to swing wets, but refrained. Maybe Monday.
