REE's WEE WET
Source of Inspiration:
REE's WEE WET (inspired by Ron Eagle Elk's gas cap)
Hook - Daiichi Model 1710/2XL Nymph Hook (Size 12 & 14)
Thread - 8/0 UNI-Thread (Red)
Hackle - Hungarian Partridge (Natural)
Tail - Five or Six Strands of Pheasant Tail (Bleached Tan)
Abdomen - Hares Cheeks Dubbing (Creamy Tan) - taken from the cheek region near the nose (note scissor point in pics).
Thorax - Wool-Ease Yarn Dubbing (Walnut 127) - yarn chopped up and made into dubbing
Optional Variations - Rib (narrow gold oval metal tinsel)
Alternate Hook - Mustad Model 3906B Nymph Hook (looks closer to the hook shape in the design)

Re: REE's WEE WET
Well done, Ray!! When Vickie was going to have my gas cap cover painted she asked to borrow a wet fly. Since this was a surprise for me, I didn't know why. I handed her a fly that looks almost identical to the fly you dressed, Ray. Really nice.

Here is a Skip Nymph Variation, tyed with some of Jeff's endless spool of orange wool thread as the rib. Looks like a nice March Brown imitation.
