Hare Duns
Some of you may have seen this on social media but I know some of you don't play that vice. These are 3 of my favorites for many years. Simple and cover just about anything on the water. A light, medium and dark. The dubbing is simply cheek, poll and a mask mix for the 3 shades with coordinating dun hen. I've been working with Firehole hooks lately and took them to Georgia with me. I like them. Not traditional but solid hooks.
I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts.

Light-Medium-Dark. You've got the hatch covered very well with this set.
Great stuff, Carl.

Re: Hare Duns
I started trying some of the Firehole hooks after seeing some of the patterns that Alan Petrucci was tying with them. After seeing what Carl has tied (those flies are gorgeous) I'm inclined to keep buying them.
...then again, Carl could tie a fly on a bent bread twist.

Very nice flies!
Those shades covers a lot of situations for sure. The hooks look great too.

Is being enamored with an inanimate object something that qualifies me for therapy? I love those flies!
Re: Hare Duns
Oh my gosh, those are gorgeous flies! I would frame that series of 3 in a heartbeat.
It will take a few years, but those are the flies I aspire to tie. Thanks for the inspiration

Re: Hare Duns
The hooks seem like good hooks. I am still partial to bronze and not a big fan yet of the turned up point you see in some of these new designs. Although the Firehole seem to be less turned up than most.
Glad you guys are enjoying them.
