the Browns were playing nice
I've had a couple good sessions on the Middle Deschutes lately with some quill bodied spiders. I've been using various feathers and adding hackles of similar colors to the bodies. Really simple flies but have been producing some nice wild browns for this stretch of the river.

This brought a smile to my face. Really nice flies. Simply perfect.

Really nice flies. Pretty hard to beat simple flies that work. Apparently, you've figured out the work part of the equation.

Very nice flies and fish. I like the quilled bodies.
