Re: Adair...
Does this pattern have a history John, or is this one of your originals? Is that a natural color wing? Such a cool color.
Old school cool!
BTW - Are you moved into your new place now?

Re: Adair...
It’s one of mine and yup a natural wing. Quick and dirty iPhone pic. I’ll sort out a proper pic in due course.
And yeh in the new place now... which is good...
Happily I can get out and about as I’m essential services so not in lock down like most of the country....
But fishing, hunting, tramping is currently not allowed so confined to tying and running around the block..

Re: Adair...
Thank you Ray and Hank.
It's good to see flymphs tied again.
Under Carl's nice Grey grizzly flymph, the photo posted by Lance of Pete Hidy's flymphs shows how bold the soft hackles are. They're long, up to 3X gape distance and there's numerous turns of hackle.
By spiralling the tying thread back through the hackle, I'm in no doubt that as well as being good fish catchers, they're resilient and would still look good returned to the box after active service.

How hard can it be?
