This pattern is rough around the edges.I am trying to refine the Caddis Green egg sac.

This pattern started out as a caddis larva with a Black tungsten bead, and Black CDC as a collar. It is tyed by a Colorado tyer,named Juan Ramirez. I dont think I am doing his technique justice, but I am going to play with it for a while

I could not make the technique look worth 2 cents as a Wet fly.

Caddis Emerger it is. Size 18

hook Dai-riki 125
Thorax, 2. Wraps of Peacock.
Collar, Black Hen

DUBBN, Howdy;

Interesting little bug, what are you trying as the " Caddis Green egg sac " ???

As is looks like it might be a good Pan-fish bug if the trouts don't care for it.

I was on the river today. A stomach sample of a nice Brown trout revealed Lots of Baetis, a few Midge emergers and a couple Cased Caddis.

I changed patterns on my rig to a size 18 RS2, a size 14 Cased caddis, and a size 20 Kryptonite Caddis in Black. The next 20 fish took the Kryptonite!
