Impressive fly. I'd love to see the materials list for that one.

Thanks Ron. Super easy to tie. Here is a link to the video that shows how to tie the body. It is a video from a very good Colorado tyer, Juan Ramirez.

Thanks for sharing the pattern and video link. That is a very cool technique. Gotta give these a try.

Very cool technique!

I wonder if he had twisted the two strands in the opposite direction whether he would still have needed keep twisting as he wrapped?

Bob, I used the rotary on my vise and did not have to twist as much as him.

Question DUBBN
Did you actually acquire the Widow Web or did you just rifle through
your stash of yarn and find something close.
I do like the larger leggy head on your version.

Rick, there are a few Shark Caddis videos. Each uses a different material for the body. I had never heard of Widow Web until I saw it on the video. I saw Zelon was used in another video. I knew as soon as I saw the first video that tan polypropylene yarn would work fine.

Thanks for that, Wayne. When I saw it on FB, I was hoping you'd post it here as well. Really nice, buggy, pattern.
