From Roger Foggs A Handbook of North Country Flies Michael Theastons Early Brown.
Hook. Daiichi 1480 size 14
Silk. Orange.
Head. Peacock Herl.
Body. Orange silk lightly dubbed red/brown..
Hackle. Woodcock under covert feather.

Re: Roger Fogg, I have a couple of his books and they are great reads and sources of info. Highly recommend his writings. He used to have an internet site but haven't seen it for quite awhile. Glad I copied / downloaded his info / articles.
