NZ flybox

Just a quick snap of some of the stuff I am busy tying for an upcoming trip to NZ South Island.
Hook: Partridge wide gape wet #12
Hackle: Whiting Coq de Leon hen, dark pardo - kept short
Body: Dubbing brush, twisted copper wire core - various colors

Hans do you need someone to carry your luggage?
....flies are looking good as always....I want to see a hero shot of you holding fine NZ trout!!! When do you go?

Hans,
Great flies and I nhope you have some 'black' flymphs with you in small sizes. GRHE's with weight and a soft hackle would work a treat also.

Still filling the box... 'black' nymphs? What size are you suggesting?

Hook: Wright & McGill 59 #18 (or equivalent 2XL nymph hook)
'Thread'/weight: Copper wire, black
Tail/abdomen/thorax/wing case: Magpie barbs
Note: This is my New Zealand variation on Frank Sawyer's Pheasant Tail nymph. I have named it after the ceremonial Maori war chant display.
