A product of some generous gifts ...

Hook : VMC 9388-BZ-12 barbless bronze (Note non-barb barb --just enough to discourage LDRs; thanks to "dd" Stefan for arranging samples from this French hook maker)
Thread: Pearsall's Gossamer silk #15, maroon (dark claret)
Hackle: French partridge dyed picric (Thanks to "narcodog" Bob)
Body; Pearsalls maroon (#15) and lemon yellow (#5) twisted together, sparsely dubbed with natural mole, and
wrapped around hook so that colors form alternate bands
Head: Maroon silk

Very nice. I've been thinking about other patterns to tie with different color threads like the Little Dark Watchet calls for.

That's what I'm calling it -- French hook + French partridge = mais oui.

Bill,
A very interesting and beautiful pattern and an interesting play on words! This pattern just cries out "Quality Work"! It is pleasing to the eye and to the heart Bill to view your work....your pleasure! We like the fact that you are constantly thinking, tinkering, and definitely creating! We do not want this process to stop! Please keep up the great things you do at your vice and here on the forum!
Your pal in chilly Ohio,
