I thought all had relocated to Holland where they rival the Cormorants in number...

I was amazed, when I visited Holland last, how the herons populated the middle of Amsterdam. In the UK they are very shy birds...Hans Weilenmann wrote:I thought all had relocated to Holland where they rival the Cormorants in number...

The herons here in holland are shy to but when they see a flytdresser they give up their feathers voluntary,they know we feed them all winter then so they dont have to fly for food

I have some Heron feathers died with Corcuma (an indian spice), makes a very nice dark olive.
