Ray,
Thanks for the kind words. The hackle has a dark center section that creates the effect.

A really nice interpretation, Scott. I've always tied it with a darker ginger hackle, but your lighter version looks more buggy to me.

Nice one Scott, I've always been a fan of this pattern, much like a jingler with catskill proportions. I too tie it like Bill with a darker ginger hackle, but am also a fan of the lighter hackle
