Green Rockworm Kebari (Rhyacophila Tenkara Pattern)
Hook - Partridge Czech Nymph Hook (Size 10 - formerly 16)
Thread - 8/0 UNI-Thread (Red)
Tag/Rib - Fine Stainless Steel Wire (Silver)
Tag/Underbody - Narrow Mylar Tinsel (Silver)
Abdomen - Pearsalls Marabou Silk (Olive)
Throrax - Five of Six Strands of Ostrich Herl (reinforced in a thread dubbing loop)
Hackle - India Hen (Black and Copper)

I know these are getting redundant, but I am having still having fun tying this style. A simple changing out the silk body color and thorax material and you've got a decent rock worm imitation. I am happy with the body/thorax proportions (roughly 50/50 on this hook), with the body ending right at the hook point. These proportions are closer to the way I tye regular soft hackle versions of the rockworm.

I may play around with creating a more open wrapped herl body, to see if I can get more of a segmented look. All part of the fun.

Ray,
I am not sure why I did not tune into this pattern before.....could be stupidity on my part! But, I just found it and I am supremely impressed with the color combo's and the overall fantastic construction as always! I am fairly certain that I need to get into Tenkara flyfishing in the near future! The concept is intriguing enough and then there is the patterns! Like yours!
Liking very much what I see,
Doug
