Happy Easter everyone!
An e-greeting this morning with singing Cottontail bunnies inspired me to tie the Cottontail Flymph...

Nice combo Bill! That should make a nice diving Caddis pattern.

Carl,
Do you tie a soft hackle diving caddis for the Mother's Day Caddis? During the hatches that used to coat my pickup's grill
, I have used a hair wing dry with an egg cluster on the back but I don't think I have tied a true diving SH for the Grannom.

Happy belated Easter! I was away this past weekend, so I am just catching up on the posts from this past weekend.
I immediately thought diving caddis, when I look at this pattern. I need to pull out Gary LaFontain's caddis book again. It's been a while since I've studied that book. I like the profile. I think once it gets wet, it will look like a juicy pupa.
Beautiful pattern. I hope you tied a whole row of these for your fly box. I think you will be happy with the results.

Great pattern. Did you get a chance to fish it yet? This is one I'll copy and fish for sure thanks for sharing.

Nice, I like these "scruffy" type of constructions!

Bill, I'm sorry to be so late to show my appreciation for the Easterly offering. That's a very funny take on the cottontail and no doubt a very effective pattern.
