Scott,
I think of Datus Proper's bent hackle pattern when I look at this fly. Impeccable tying, as always. Good stuff, my friend.

That's well put. A gorgeous jingle and a killer lion fish. Very interesting and probably something to watch. Looking forward to a report.

ScottP. Howdy;
Impressive, ... to say the least!
Question;
When yo stated in the recipe "front hackle - Indian Hen (
reverse tied)"
Does this mean that you applied it rotating in the reverse of the previous 2 ?
Thanks for your thoughts.

Hank,
I just tied the front hackle with the dull side facing forward (should have explained that).

Scott

Sort of a bivisible skater, Scott. Very nicely conceived and superbly tied.

Scott P. Howdy;
Thanks for that information. Sort of explains the why of the forward pitch
of the front hackle. Now this one would make an excellent SBS (hint hint).

Great fly!
It reminded me of a variation of a French Feather Duster like the Tricolore.

The more I study this fly, the more I keep imagining it on the water. This has to give a great impression on the surface of the water. The soft hackle fibers would likely sink below the surface giving the impression of struggling legs.
I gotta add some of these "damp" flies to my spring box.
