Yellow and partridge

Hook 14 TMC nymph
Thread a light yellow 8/0. I think it's danvilles but the sticky is long gone from the spool
Body danvilles yellow nylon
Rib gold wire
Thorax peacock herl
Hackle partridge

Out of all the color bodies and partridge yellow has always been my top producer, I usally slap these together cuz I go through them and that's because the trout eat them up. I decided to take my time with this one to make it come out a little better then normal so I could post it.

You're not alone in loving these simple spiders. This is a nice example, especially with that thorax and the hackle length. Very nymphy.

That is a neat wee pattern, one that would take fish pretty much anywhere in the World that trout live.
