Pattern calls for GP tippet dyed hot orange; tried it and didn't really notice much difference from undyed (guess I need to find a different shade of Koolaid)

hook - Mustad 3906 #10
thread - Danville 6/0 black
tag - tinsel silver
tail - golden pheasant tippet hot orange
rib - oval tinsel silver
body - peacock herl
hackle - 2 turns black hen, 2 turns white hen

Nice!

Question - Did you use strip one side if the collar hackles, or are they butch tyed with full hackle feathers (fibers on both sides of the hackle stem)?

Ray,

Both the black and white were full hackles.

That hackle combo looks great on a fly this size. These classic patterns are fantastic.
