I know...we have all seen this pattern many times. I never get tired of it. Just a great spider. This one I did with some orange silk and an awesome Drennan hook that Ruard has sent me.

Dandy spider. I never get tired of seeing these either Carl, especially when they are done so well.
What model hook is that?

Ray, it is a Drennan barbless super specialist #12 which comparatively is about #14

A classic exceptionally well executed, and the photo's no slouch either.

What a beautifully dressed fly. Thankfully, I can put the pictures up on the 20 inch monitor and clearly see the fly. Great work, Carl/ Love the silk color.

I keep coming back to this beauty. I studied it on a larger screen yesterday and find it overwhelmingly outstanding. Many moons ago, Old Master (Bill Shuck), posted the most beautiful fly I've ever seen. It was a March Brown with Golden Plover hackle and Bronze Mallard tails. Body was goose biots and thorax was the most magical material available on this planet: Hare's Lug. I rate this Hare's Lug and Plover as a runner up, which means Carl is, right now, Young Master.

I don't remember seeing that MB before. That is certainly one tie worthy of striving for.
