Partridge and Biot White Fly

This is a fly I came up with for the swap intended for the August white fly hatch in Cumberland Valley (Yellow Breeches, etc.). Eric (our trout smuggler) tied up some killer little flymphs using white dubbing and a creamy hackle. It was perfect and worked very well. He also tied some white spiders with white silk and bright gray partridge hackle. These worked too. I just needed to work out something for myself and I liked the idea of the white biot and white snowshoe foot underfur over light gray tying thread. I really hope to get a chance to try these out late this summer. Of course I'll pack Eric's patterns as a clutch.
#14 Dry fly hook. (Daiichi 1180)
Light gray 14/0 thread
Bright gray partridge hackle
CDL Pardo light tail
White biot abdomen over gray thread
White snowshoe foot underfur thorax over gray thread

Very nice. I love the idea if the snowshoe foot underfur. Great idea. This fly should suspend nicely in the surface film.

Great pattern, wow. Biot bodies do it for me, this is on point.
That evening was good times, it was pretty muggy from what I remember, yeah? I'd so take that weather right about now...

Very clean dressing, William. I know a few places that would work around here as well.

That's what he meant by "the August white fly hatch".

William,
I bet that would work very well as a callibaetis, too. Beautiful fly.

Beautiful, William. Tie that on Size #10 hook and you'd have a killer for the Susquehanna white fly hatch as well. Those hungry smallies would really smack that thing around.

Which is something we need to do.

William,
Absolutely delicious looking pattern! Your tying continues to amaze me! Do you ever have bad days when it comes to tying and being consistant? If you do, it sure does not show! Wonderful stuff William and from the way it sounds, this is going to be a very workable and productive pattern!
