That's a really nice design for the hordes of tan/gray caddis pupa. I especially like the tan peacock, something I haven't tried but should look into it. It's very convincing in this pattern. Lovely taper and nice contrast with the dark hackle. Is this a weighted pattern? I would like to see this one at every level in the water column. Beautiful.

William - This fly is unweighted. It may work well as a dropper, along with a weighted nymph.

That would so work for the caddis hatch here in April through July! Love that pattern. Outstanding sir!

Wayne - What size would you recommend? I tied this in a size 14, but may be able to go down another size (16). Beyond that would be difficult.

Don't worry Eric. All it takes to stop me is a large tree, of any kind, in my back cast. :x :?

Why do you think I have to tie so many flies? ;) :D

Ray,
I thought that back casting into trees was just a Roscoe exclusive! It seems you carry this trait where ever you go! All in fun of course! If I could tell you how many patterns I have snapped off in the surrounding vegetation.....you'd be laughin' at me instead!
Glad you are a good natured fellow,
Snaggle Puss D.
